Who We Are
We are two experienced jury trial lawyers and an experienced Senior Paralegal. Collectively we have over 100 years of experience in resolving difficult legal issues both in and out of court. We have extensive experience in preventing, managing and solving complex legal issues, whether through planning, negotiation, or litigation. We listen carefully to our clients and we engage them in Pro Active Legal Counsel and Expectation Legal Therapy. Then, we map out an agreed strategy to resolve the problem.
We understand how to engage, to work with, and to manage legal resources, such as experts, litigation support consultants, and contract lawyers, paralegals, and document clerks. We can manage and we have managed litigation. We understand big firm politics, big firm fees, and big firm case management. We also understand how smaller firms operate. We can and have worked to great success with both big firms and smaller firms.
There is no top-heavy work pyramid at EvansStarrett PLC. We do the work ourselves. We do not rely on inexperienced associates. We think about our clients’ problems critically and objectively. We review processes and procedures and measure them against best practices for preventing litigation. We do the research, we provide counsel and suggested solutions to legal problems, and we negotiate and document agreements. If necessary, we speak for our clients before government officials, mediators, arbitration panels, and the courts. We draft the pleadings, we conduct the discovery, we take the depositions, we prepare the briefs, and we prepare the summary judgment motion. When trial time arrives, we know the case intimately and can present a unified theme of fact and law that most benefits our client.
EvansStarrett PLC is structured so that we can focus on resolving the problem at hand. We have no firm politics that may get in the way of providing the very best legal representation. Because we are small, our overhead is less. Consequently, our good judgment and extensive experience is a bargain.
